    I received a download code from Amazon for the game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. I input this code into my Xbox one, and it entitled me to a digital copy of the game, which I began to download immediately. Once done, however, I was met with the error
    code listed above. I am given the option to "see in store" when receiving the error, and if I do, the only option the store gives me is to play, since I already own the game on this account. When attempting to start the game from the store, where my license
    to the game is clear and evident, the system simply recycles the same error, looping me back to the store. I have tried checking my connection to Xbox live and tried using other backwards compatibility digital games and ran into no issues. However, I payed
    money for this title and am highly disappointed in the amount of trouble it has been to simply access a single game.

    I've tried every traditional fix for this code given in the FAQs, is there any way to fix this, or to help my Xbox One check my liscence to the game? It shows up in my recent purchases and everything...

    Good Morning from Qatar All!

    I am currently deployed with the US Air Force to Qatar and i'm encountering an issue with my Xbox One that i've never encountered before. I've downloaded 3 games while i've been here, Assassins Creed Orgins, Call of Duty WW2, and the EA access trial for
    SWBF2. I played AC Orgins and COD WW2 both for about a week with no issues, then out of nowhere anytime I try to load them up I get the error "Do you own this game or app?....Error code 0x803f8001....." I have contacted MS Support about this and we haven't
    got a solution yet. I have tried removing my profile and re-adding it, resetting my xbox while keeping games and apps, and deleting the games and re downloading them. I'd like to know if anyone has encountred this issue before where they have done all of the
    trouble shooting with no solution. I don't want a refund, I just want to play my games. I've never posted on a forum for help before so hoping this works. Thank you all

    I had same problem but only with CD-ROM games.

    I took mains cable off from router and xbox one, let it be 30sec and restarted.

    After that it worked.

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. As you're receiving that particular error message when attempting to play some of the games via Xbox Game Pass, it may worth requesting an additional call back from Xbox Support to have them
    troubleshoot your subscription to see if it is being recognized correctly. Please bear in mind that the Game Pass line up does change frequently as well: Xbox Game Pass Games.

    The subscription to Game Pass gives you a temporary license to play the games while they are available on the service, so there should be no need to contact the game developers directly, but it would be best to get the subscription reviewed to see
    if they may determine what is keeping you from being able to play the titles.

    • Log into Support.Xbox.com
    • Scroll down, Click on
      Contact Us

    • Step 2 : Select a Category, then See other options
    • Step 3 : Select your Issue/Topic
      • Select - Show contact options
      • Select – Call me back or chat with Xbox Support

    If you do not see the selection that you wish to use for contact, then switch topics until it becomes available.

    Give this a try and let us know the results. I hope this helps out.

    Is this Game Pass for PC? If so, are you signed into the computer with the Microsoft Account that has the Game Pass subscription? I would recommend checking that, and what profile is signed into the Xbox (Beta) app as well as the Xbox Console Companion
    app. Check those and let us know if they are the account that reflect that you have Game Pass Subscription. You can also check that everything with your subscription is good at your
    Microsoft Account page for that account.

    Let us know the results and we'll see what the next best troubleshooting steps are.
