"When someone illegitimately gains something that we worked hard to earn, it’s unfair. Likewise, cheating devalues the enjoyment and competition on the Xbox network. In some cases, it can even create security risks for yourself, other players, and the service."

This is directly taken from Microsoft cheating code of conduct.

I have for days now been trying to play an all time favorite game of mine call of duty black ops 2. A game that I paid $50 for in the Microsoft store. A game that didn't come with a disclaimer stating xbox will allow cheating and modding to ruin my online gaming experience even though the code of conduct clearly states differently. Is any thing going to be done about this issue my self and I'm sure many others are having. I literally have people messaging me saying they have a right to mod, they don't care who it upsets and xbox doesn't care that they're doing it. Which by reporting over and over again, it's clear that they may be right considering they're still here, ruining experiences.

    :)

yes it is, but if the criminal is in France, the FBI cannot arrest them without the help of the French police

All of the evidence that they're cheating is on activision servers. Xbox live is merely providing authentication

Again.. it's a simple question I'm asking you.. is it against xbox policy to mod or alter online games through Xbox live? The answer I can tell you according to microsoft is "yes". Therefore, like buying a stove from bestbuy, I do 100% expect them to honor the warranty and proper handling of a improper functioning stove or in this case a game, which I play on xbox, which I pay my fees to ensure a safe, fun, cheat monitored gaming experience. I'm not on an activision gaming system or I would take this issue to them. Microsoft should 100% be liable for not putting disclaimers on games that many of us buy from the "Microsoft" store (not the activision hobby lobby) that state we can not, will not, do not monitor the cheating and mods in this game. I can't for the life of me see how any one sees this from a different perspective.

do you blame Best Buy when your dishwasher breaks? It's exactly the same situation

Activision runs their own servers, Microsoft has absolutely no involvement in this, you need to take it up with them. as others have stated, they have no way of fixing your problem because they don't know in the game, they don't have access to the code nor do they have access to the servers, and if they did, they fixing it could be a horrendous undertaking as no one at Microsoft knows the code

if you see someone cheating, report them, if Activision has a report method, do that too. That is the only way these things happen

I understand what you're saying. What in saying is, Microsoft sells this game, it's just as much on them as it is activision.

    Do you not punish modding?

I understand it's an old activision game. At the end of the day, Microsoft is still allowing it to happen.
