Do you like 3D? Or Geometry?

Geometry Wars ³Dimensions is now available for purchase. After playing the 1st few levels myself, I can confidently say that if you ever enjoyed playing the previous Geometry Wars games and don't suffer from photo/light-sensitive seizures, then you will
probably like this game and I wholeheartedly recommend this one. Also, did I forget to mention that it supports both online and local multiplayer, as well as global leaderboards, and even has boss battles!? And all in glorious 3D!!!

Check it out - it's simple, mindless, and absolutely chaotic fun.

What are your thoughts on this game (especially from those of you who've tried it) as well as your thoughts on the entire series in general?

Do you like Kinect?

actually no it doesn't dude maybe YOU should do some research just because it can be DISABLED via menus does not mean that it is truly OFF. Short of unplugging the Kinect from the console or everything unplugged from the wall it will never truly be off.
Anything connected to the internet can be accessed remotely or do you not realize this?

It was a pain to navigate the dashboard with the first. The games were fun for novelty sake but very inaccurate. It's not more efficient than using a headset or controller so I can't call it an advancement in anything. Does it do eye tracking? Can it be
an in home security nanny cam since it's got to be plugged in all the time? No? it's still just an input and data collecting device?

No I don't like Kinect. I wouldn't call it a waste of money, because I also owned a wii...just grew tired of it's usefulness or lack there of and novelty of the experience. .

Yes I prefer 3D games to 2D. I have enough games as it is without drowning in them. Games I'm planning on getting are Phantom Pain, Happy Wars, Tropico 5 maybe, Halo 5, and that crazy roller coaster game when it comes out. I did look it up on Youtube something
PAX 2014. It looks kind of cool though and fast paced. Wait, did I actually say something positive about this game?

 

Loved GeoWars since way back on PGR2 and Evolved 2 is probably my most played game besides Ninja Gaiden 2 but I can see that changing with Dimensions, played it for about 6 hours so far and absolutely love it. Can see myself sinking 1000's of hours into
this!

 

I like both the fusion is fun.

 

I like it, but it seems like I'm having more issue with enemies spawning right on top of me and killing me than I did in Geometry Wars 2. I was playing same of the classic levels this morning and I couldn't get anywhere near the scores I was getting in 2.

 

Sigma, that's actually been my only complaint with the game so far too - getting killed by spawning enemies.

 

Are the spawns worse than CoD? Thinking about picking this up and so far liking what I'm hearing.

The enemies can appear anywhere and it's usually done in a pattern that you can pick up pretty quickly. When they do appear, they appear as a colorful blur for a split-second before actually appearing - that split-second is what you can use to get out of
the way.

 

Defy, the spawns aren't worse than CoD. When enemies begin to appear, they actually appear as a colorful blur for a split-second before actually appearing. It's that split-second that gives you a chance to get out of the way. Also, the enemies usually appear
in patterns and specific places, so once you can learn that, it becomes easier.

 

Can spawns possibly be worse than CoD? I get cold chills whenever I think of the spawns on Black Ops 1. Especially the 'launch' map. That was plain evil lol.
