Do you have to repurchase games for Xbox series X that you purchased for Xbox series S?

I have had an Xbox Series S for a while, and have bought a lot of physical copies of games for it. I recently got an Xbox Series X, and I want to know if I need to repurchase these games or can I just put the disks I used for Xbox Series S into Xbox Series X? Or is there something else I can do so that I don't need to buy all of these games again for my new console?

Thank you for your post. All games available on Xbox One will be compatible on the Xbox Series X/S meaning you will not have to repurchase FIFA 21 if and when you purchase an Xbox Series S or X.

The only way to play them on the Series S would be to repurchase them digitally if available. Otherwise, the Series X would be the better option so you don't have to repurchase the games.

A Series S doesn't have a disc drive, so I'm not sure how you've been using it. But all games that work for a Series S will work on a Series X and vice versa (as long as they're digital on the Series S).

Does that include physical disks as well?

As long as you get the Series X. If you get the Series S you would have to repurchase the games digitally.
