Do you have to have a Forza Account to play Forza 5?

I have a Forza 5 game disc purchased for my grand son. Does he have to register with forza online somehwere for the game disc to install?

That would have been the case if Microsoft kept their old drm policies. But since they backtracked, the only way that works, is if you buy the digital version of the game. Also on a side note you should have posted this in the Xbox One forums, as this
is for Xbox 360 only.

Whats the point in downloading the game to your xbox one? I was under the impression that once you downloaded your disc then you would not have to put the disc back into your system to play, therefore letting you switch to one game to another without having
to get up take a disc out, and put another disc in? anyone else have any thoughts on this?

 

As long as he has a Xbox One he is good. You do not need a Gold account or register anywhere else.

 

What if he wants to play on line multi player?

 

Then he will need a Xbox Live Gold account.
