    Do you have to clean the game discs?


    Do you really have to clean your game discs? I'm thinking about cleaning them but I'm nervous about it because the discs might stop working if I clean them. The games I have are old and so they would be hard to find. I'm especially nervous about cleaning
    the silver side of the disc. I'm also worried that if I don't clean them that they may stop working.

    Well there you have it, NFO came clean.

    This has nothing to do with the game, it is just simple hate for Capcom.

    Im going have ask you some questions.

    You do not have your console angled or standing vertical?

    Be sure it is laying flat horizontally.

    Do you have any other issues with any other games or dvds or blu rays?

    To try to clean the disc. Try cleaning the disc with a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth. Hold the disc by the edges do not touch the bottom or the top and move from the center to the outer edge not in circles.

    Really you only need to clean them if there's something on them. As long as they're cleaned properly, it won't cause your discs to stop working.

    They don't need to be cleaned unless you get read errors. If you do clean them, get a lint free cloth and wipe from the inner edge outwards, and _never_ in a circular motion around the disc. Also, do not use any cleaners whatsoever.

    If other disc based games work in your system, I suggest cleaning the disc using a HDTV cleaning kit.

    Just a single spritz of the cleaning solution on the cloth. NEVER directly on the disc. (both of which comes with the HDTV cleaning kit) and very lightly wipe the disc clean and try the game again.

    This is what I do to clean discs and have yet to buy a used game that it failed to clean to near perfection. Works with all discs including blu rays.

    Greeting's, A lazer burn is quite serious. Have you tried cleaning the disc with a soft cloth or a disc cleaner as such ? Don't do what most people do and put water over them this doesn't work. You can always take your game into a local game shop to get
    it cleaned for free but if the lazer inside the Xbox will not read the disc you may have to buy another one.
