    Do you feel like you were robbed of $500.00?


    It seems to me, that they rushed the xbone out for holiday season or are just super disconnected with their customers. I have already had to return my console for repairs (drive would not read my games anymore), and the new one has such bad quality on the
    hdmi tv pass through that i can't even use it. I have packet loss issues that xbox troubleshooting cannot fix, they say its my service provider, but when i test from my computer or any other device on the network I have no loss. It just overall feels like
    a step backwards from the xbox 360. I guess I can see where they are going with the xbone, but to me, it just stings a little bit to receive a half finished system after spending my hard earned $$$.

    I've seen a lot of Ambassadors bumping dead threads recently.

    Personally I suspect they've been told they can earn XP on the forum and go off on a rush to 'help out'.

    Of course they don't realise you only earn Ambassador XP by getting a Verified answer in the support sections.

    I don't feel robbed at all. But to be fair, I just bought my XB1 at the end of February. I've learned it's never smart to buy a new console at launch. There are always going to be problems. It's best to wait a bit until they work most, if not all, of the
    bugs out. I know it's fun to have the newest console in your house the day it launches, but 9.5 times out of 10 you're going to have a lot of problems.

    I paid about 500 dollars for a 360 special edition. 300 a piece for the 360's that died on me...... (my originl Xbox still works though)

    Back in the day a new Atari 2600 would cost about 500 dollars.... Just sayn.

    Early adoption has a price Do you feel like you were robbed of 0.00? :) Money paid and lack of experience is the price.

    Being the best has to start somewhere though...... in a few years, lets see what's in front of of your TV.

    @Vote you dont have to get a verified answer in the support forums to get XP. As long as you make a post that helps the user you will get XP.

    If its relevant to the question being asked then its helpful. Very few users comeback to verify a post. Some do comeback and say thanks it worked but fail to verify. Occasionally mods and SA will verify it but they seem to be slipping lately

    I failed to explain myself correctly.

    How does the system know it is a helpful answer to award XP if the answer has not been verified?

    Does it randomly happen? Scan for keywords (if that is the case then what is to stop people just copy/paste responses from earlier in the thread.)

    How does the system know to award XP to helpful answers that are not verified?

    From my understanding the system isnt automated. Support Agents are supposed to view every thread to properly determine if an answer is helpful or not. Thats why you dont get credit for randomly bumping old topics and answering questions. Besides you dont
    get XP for saying the same thing someone else said unless you posted at the same time.

    Example:

    Question: My xbox one wont read discs, what do I do?

    Answer: register the console and setup a repair.

    Now if you (if you were an ambassador) answer the question you get XP. If I come along hours later and say the same thing I dont get XP, unless I added more useful information to your post. For instance including the link to register your console.
