Do voice commands work on new the Kinectless XB1?

ICN3D, I haven't seen the video you speak of with Inside Gaming, but from the sound of your post, it sounds like those guys were doing it wrong because you're not supposed to yell at it. In fact, by doing so, you're less likely to get it to work. Also, I'm
not saying those guys are, but anyone who's biased against the Kinect can easily make a video where the Kinect isn't plugged in or its settings are disabled, yell at it in an attempt to turn it on, and say it doesn't work all just to discredit it as a product.
It's not likely to happen, but it's still just a possibility that I'd like to put out there since there seems to me to be so much controversy over something so small and insignificant.

It's not no reason. Lots of ppl hate Kinect. The guys at Inside Gaming yell at it "XBOX ON"....they've done it like 7 times now....not once has it turned on. It's a big joke.

Funny you say this ICN but yet the next 2 threads in the forum are about Aaron Paul turning on peoples Xbox via a commercial

And ICN.. you are troll.... the 1st step in recovery is denial

Ever considered the possibility that the ad contains coding to deliberately turn xboxs on, to create headlines?

Mine hardly ever worked so I gave up on "xbox on", just use the controller.

I know tohelandbak....reports of Kinect working are coming from all over...IT'S A MIRACLE!!!

I can't believe the junk you guys run with.

1) There are ppl in that thread that said the commercial didn't do it to their xbox

2) Since it's not happening to everyone that still doesn't conclude that the Kinect is flawless. If it was doing to everyones Kinect/X1 then it would be a bigger news story....right now it's like a joke.

YET....you guys actually think that this proves that the Kinect is perfect....unbelievable. The guys at Inside Gaming Daily started off by just saying "Xbox on" and it grew to be a joke b/c they can never get it to turn on even when they are playing off
camera....thats the joke.

Tons of ppl report that the Kinect sucks and doesn't work....MICROSOFT EVEN WENT BACK ON THEIR WORD THAT KINECT WAS A MUST HAVE FOR A WHOLE XBOX EXPERIENCE AND NOW ARE SELLING A KINECTLESS BUNDLE.

Not to mention the friggin TV you hear the commercial from is right under, below or next to the X1.

tohelandbak, you're just a Ms fanboy...first step is just being quiet.

LMAO! This thread...

Let's see if I can cliff note the whole Kinect controversy from beginning to current.

MS: Introducing the X1! This console has Kinect included as an integral part of the OS and it has been improved! It must be plugged in and can't be turned off.

Nearly Impossible To Please, Internet Community (NITPIC): What!? We don't want Kinect, we didn't use it and we will never get an X1 if it can't be disabled or unplugged!

MS: OK, due to feedback, we've removed the requirement for Kinect. It no longer must be plugged in or turned on.

NITPIC: We still don't want it! We hate it! We have no interest in it and we don't want to flail around in front of our TV's and we don't want to talk (or yell) at it either! It will spy on us! It will watch us! It will listen to us! NSA box! We're being
forced to buy it!

MS: We have no plans on selling a non Kinect SKU at this time.

NITPIC: We're not buying! We will continue to start regular threads cursing you and questioning you and berating your company! We hate Kinect and want nothing of it! We want a Kinectless SKU!

MS: Fine... We listened. There is now a Kinectless SKU.

NITPIC: Finally! We know what we want and it's about time you listen to us and give us what we want! BTW... we'd like the new Kinectless SKU to be capable of half the functions that the Kinect had.

MS: ...

lol

I love my Kinect. It reminds me of Johnny 5's head and it does everything I ask it to.
What more could you want!

For the console to say Xbox One is alive when it switches on, rofl, and in Johhny Fives voice.

@Blue - perfectly said....that pretty much sums it up.

I'm assuming (and hoping) that there are SOME THINGS that MS will actually ignore - no matter how many votes the Feedback process gets. Otherwise lets all vote for all games to be free and day one buyers to get a cheque for £1k!

Really , you really asked this question? Did you think about it before you asked it.

Im sorry to type so bluntly but you sir are an idiot and need to stay away from gaming and save every last brain cell you have left..

voice commands do not work without a kinect
