Do they ban accounts that duplicated gamertags

I'm sorry for your issue; unfortunately, we don't have access to your account data and can't verify. I can tell you, however, that the gamertag is unique, and there can't be two identical gamertags. I don't know how you claim it was duplicated, and it would be helpful if you could post a screenshot to confirm. In any case, I recommend contacting Microsoft support.

Gamertags is linked to all Microsoft accounts, even if they are not used on Xbox.

Unfortunatly there is nothing we can do to change your gamertag as the system prevents the duplication of gamertags.

you can't use common phrases as a gamertag lol

If you find some you feel is exploiting the system please use the tools on your console to report the user.

ar you sure they arent having like a special character you aren't seeing? Or a number instead of a letter like zero instead of an O

It's not a bug

You are allowed to be creative with your names like replacing letters it numbers
