Do the Xbox Game Studios Loot Box Policies also apply to third-party content within Xbox games?

Xbox loot box policies refer to games from Xbox Studios and not games manufactured by third parties.

The Minecraft game you are referring to is an older game and from what I read here in the policies they talk about games released from 2019 onwards.

Minecraft was created by Mojang in 2011 and it was not part of Xbox Studios, as a game created before 2019 I believe it is an exception to this policy.

It would be better if you could get in direct contact with those who actually work in the Xbox division to have your question resolved, because here on the forum we are ordinary people just like you, and this subject is very internal.

Neither, as long as the content contained in the loot boxes can also be unlocked through actions in the game as well or if the loot boxes can be unlocked through playing the game. Also whether the loot boxes contain purely cosmetic items or items that
can heavily influence the game play. It's a grey are but can be done well for both the customer and company.

MS doesnt make apps so once these third party content providers get them made I am sure they will e released. MS also doesnt control whether a game has a demo or not unless it s a MS studio game.
