For some weird reason getting refunds for digital purchases is almost impossible to get.

But I have tried and tried to speak to someone in refunds and I cannot get through to anyone AT ALL.

They really do make it impossible.

Just to add to davemcfly85's solution, the hard drive must be an official Microsoft drive and not a 3rd party knock-off or clone. The non-official ones do not have the partition and emulation software necessary to run original Xbox games - one of the reasons
you find them at half the price of the official Microsoft ones. Make sure you check this before purchasing.

According to the Australian Consumer rights information, "If a product or service you buy fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund under the
Australian Consumer Law. " but the Microsoft website does not allow this or makes it so difficult to initiate a refund that its almost impossible.
