Do small thumb sticks on the Elite controller make for better FPS control? Former PC gamer here

The Elite Controller comes with 3 sets of thumb sticks - 2 standard size (same size as the controller that comes with the console-physically checked them against my controllers), 2 taller ones, and 2 domed ones (which seem more like a middle height between
the tall and the standard size thumb sticks).

Xbox Controller Elite Series 2 is best for you.. I like to buy extra thumb grips rubbers to go on my controllers to protect the sticks. The grips goes over the controller sticks. Its better grip when playing games.

The left thumb stick of the Elite series 2 controller is designed to be adjustable, so you can change the tension and height according to your preference. However, it should not unscrew or spin freely when you are using it. This could indicate that the thumb stick is defective or damaged.



To fix this issue, please follow these steps:



- Turn off your controller and remove the batteries.

- Gently pull the left thumb stick out of the controller. You may need to use a small tool like a tweezer to do this.

- Check the bottom of the thumb stick and the socket on the controller for any signs of wear or damage. If you see any, please contact Xbox Support for a replacement or repair.

- If there is no visible damage, align the thumb stick with the socket and push it firmly until it clicks into place. You should feel some resistance when you do this.

- Screw the thumb stick clockwise until it reaches your desired tension and height. Do not over-tighten it or force it beyond its limit.

- Put the batteries back in and turn on your controller. Test the thumb stick in a game and see if it works properly.

Here is a list of the controllers that I went through with a reason

Xbox 360 Original Wireless Controller (Left & Right Thumb Stick loosened & I think the LB or RB button died)

Razer Onza (The Rubber on the Thumb Sticks came off easily due to heavy FPS gameplay or in this case wear n' tear)

Razer Onza TE (Same as Razer Onza & one of the Bumpers died)

Xbox 360 Ltd ED Gray (Same as Xbox 360 Original Wireless Controller but the changing D-pad snapped from the inside & popped out)

Mad Catz Black Ops Wired Controller (The USB cored had something wrong with it "frayed cored" witch didn't give power to the controller & the Thumb Sticks became lose after heavy FPS gameplay)

With the Razer Onza & Onza TE there multifuction buttons are good for Battlefield due to the Back button being "Spot" I set it to the "Left Multifuction Button" so when hold left LT I can tap the button above it being the multifuction button, but due to
the Thumb Stick only being attached to a very thin piece of plastic the Thumb Sticks can break.

I like to also add my hands are to big for these small pieces of * controllers due to them being small, my hands give out warmth because they are crunched around the controller, they heat up the plastic where my hands hold on to & cause my hands to sweat
causing me to lose grip.

This is something I NEVER GOT with THE DUKE! not just that the Thumb Sticks & Buttons never wore out, loosened or died & the controller was BIG for ADULT HANDS!

MS if you are reading this please bring back the DUKE!
