Do Scalpers matter more then in store gaming consumers?

Are you trying to tell me that this console will remain sold out for 1-2 years? Time to buy a pc then. Im not waiting 2 years or whatever to buy a new game . Some games youll have to re-buy once you get next gen or buy a cross- gen upgrade for more money.
And at this point with the lack of communication and the terrible online only policy ,its not guaranteed ill be able to buy a next gen console . Time to get a new hobby no? =) And im an older gent and live in the U.S. Ive never had a problem buying ANY console
as far back as the Atari on launch. Have you noticed even the old consoles are selling for ignorant amounts? Problem is if my xbox dies before i get a new one , im not paying 400 usd for a bare bones xbox one s . Microsoft loses my subscription . All those
bright minds at Microsoft hopefully come up with a solution to the botting problem because we cant do it for them.

Sounds like the end of an era of gaming . Ill never buy a console for 1500.00 usd lol. You can get an ok pc for that amount. Trying to double the subscription price for gold was a bad idea too . Pc is starting to sound real good right?

It sure does seem that both companies are catering way more to the scalpers and internet bots instead of the in person gaming consumers that goes to a outlet store with the hopes of buying a console for 499$. If you go to a Walmart or Target,Best Buy or
Gamestop on and on etc the first thing you see or hear is please go online to purchase this product and that trhows you right back into the scalping scam.

There are tons and tons of semi trucks on the road that could easily stock the shelves at any or all stores that carry gaming consoles/games.

The masses are sick of both companies catering to internet scam and the scalpers buying hundreds of units under various emails and scalping bots and taking a 499$ product and selling them for 650$,850$ and 1000$ while the consumer/gamer should be using that
extra money to buy the new games and accessories for the new consoles.

Meanwhile the in person consumer is not getting a chance to buy a console at any outlet store that sells electronics and is basically being pushed back onto the internet to get ripped off as sad as it is.

Its a shame that there are more Xbox X's and PS5's gathering dust being stupidly overpriced instead of being played.

Both Billion dollar companies should step up to the plate and stock the shelves and put a end to this! Both have the units in stock to make it happen.

If Samsung made the Xbox series x or the PS5 you could almost guarantee that all outlet stores would have plenty of them for the public consumer at the 499$ price.

Apparently you never seen a launch before

One for the FIRST YEAR there will always be a shortage of launch consoles this has occured since the snes days

I paid 500 CAD for a 300 dollar snes withiut the bundled game

And thats not during a worldwide crisis

Ms has no say on how retailers sell their system other then cost.

Retailers dispite what you think of them

You dont realize the issue

How would you feel if someone is calling you every 5mins to find if there is stock and then find out within thr 2mins of the last call and you popping into the store the LAST COnsole gets sold

Trust me I wouldnt want to bw in the sale agwnt that have to tell 10 angry customers that the last console was sold 2mins ago

You can get a console but like gamers of old you have to play the lottery and hope to get the single click that lands you the console

Feel fortunate

With the current crisis manufacturing is down and big navi is cuting into the manufacturing capacity of AMD its hard to get parts ms ordered more cpus and gpus and chipsets

In days of old we camped outside in the cold as most launches were in november lol

Nowadays you just meed to click

Its normal for a console to be sold out during launch.

Most will remaij for 1-2 years

The switch itself was out of stock for 3 years

The wii even more so

Disclaimer I did wait months for my first snes afterr my nes died and yes they were in shortage

Though I preordered mine the 2nd day of preorders in store of my x series muahaha

Im just fortunately to live in a city where ms recruits actively and google has the android team

Nope both were sold out for months. And both were scalped especially the ps4 ans with another. Recent memory the ps3 and ps2 with one ps3 going 10grand trust me I had to call for my nephew for the xbox one since I had mine due to the sweepstakes

Yes you could goto stores nand hope they had stock

But with the worldwide crisis they arent letting random people jn

Manufacturing is down and so is shipping due to the quaritine times

This is NOT normal times

And restrictions accross the board

And ebgames even in my town is shut down

We had 7 now we have only 1 in the entire region

China and the world are locking down

The last Xbox launch and PS4 launch was nothing like this.

The shelves were full in all the retail stores at by the end of January after Xbox and Sony released the new consoles at that time.

They were also very easy to obtain for the price advertised if you were shopping in person or online.Without Ebay etc

Never was a PS4 listed on a Walmart websight for 1500$ so I don't think your comment holds much weight.
