Do not understand how gold works

Hi,

I am new to the Xbox world (I had PSs and Nintendos) so I need your help.

I just bought a new Xbox X. I used the code to get an access to gold. My son created his own account, but when he is trying to play on battlefront 2, the console says he has to have a Gold access.

I thought Gold was for the console, not for every member. This was the case for PlayStation where we can all share the access to the network, whoever was playing.

Can you confirm how gold works and did I miss something in the settings.

You have shown that you do not understand how the enforcement team works. If you would like to know how it actually works, just ask.

 

As long as your console is set as your home console,which it should be by default,then you can share gold.

The code that came with the console is just a trial which only give limited access to some xbox live gold features.

Several games will not let you play online with just a trial,you would need a full gold subscription for that.

Another thing to remember is that Battlefront 2 is an E.A. published game & you need to be 13 years old or over to play E.A. games online.
