No, I'm
talking about IC packaging. Epoxy is just a general term. IC packages are made of ceramic, plastic, epoxy/glass layers, etc. You know - the "black stuff" that the die is housed in.

If that’s the case, did you tried (and if available) installing a previous driver for your microphone?
