Do I still need to choose a storage device before I play a game like I do on the 360?

You do not need to have played the game before on your Xbox 360. All you need to download it is enough space. The game add-on will save to your Xbox 360 storage device so you do not need to play the game before you download the add-on.

Always prompted to select a storage device before playing game

My 360 slim console always asks me for a storage device option, Memory Unit or Cloud Saved Games, when I play my Quantum of Solace game. I choose Cloud Saved Games, of which I have something like 500 mb free. My hard drive has 2.4gb free. I wonder
if there is some setting on 'always be prompted for storage device' or something like that which I need to disable. Thanks for your help.

Hi LAPIII,

The Xbox One doesn't work like the 360 in terms of storage. Saves are all saved to your console, and then sync'd with the cloud (provided you're online and signed in). If you play another Xbox One or factory reset your Xbox One your game saves will sync
back from the cloud and save your game locally after you start playing.

If you still are wondering the max external storage supported by the xbox one is 16TB. I am unsure of the internal storage requirements but I will respond as soon as I can.

No transfering license didn't do anything, still says 'you can only play this game on the console and storage device it was originally installed on' when I try to play the installed version of Skyrim, and choosing to play it from the disc just crashes.

If you are using another storage which is not the one you choose to play your Xbox 360 with, it will not work in conjunction with your new DLC.

Example: Instead of choosing Hard Drive, when prompted to choose what storage device you want to play the game with, you might choose another storage device. This storage device you have chosen may not contain this DLC.

Or is it something else? Could you please elaborate?
