Do I really lose game contents if I made a brand new second Xbox Live account?

Hello everybody,

I used to use another Xbox Live account before I created a completely new one, because I wanted to start from the beginning again (with 0 Gamerscore and so on).

But now I realized that all the games I bought with my old account I also own with my new account, but not some of the DLCs. For example the game content of the Legendary Edition of Halo Reach: I have the item for my avatar on the new account too, but not
the content for the Halo Reach game. I tried to do a licence transfer but it changed absolutely nothing. Well, it's the same console but different accounts....

Okay. I know you've tried your friend's account but I want you to try creating a BRAND NEW Xbox Live account. If your console is set as your home console, your Xbox Live Gold is shared and you should have access to the game as well. I want to know if you
can create a brand new game/save file using a new account. Not anything existing but a brand, spanking new account.

Do keep working with ZeniMax support in the meantime but also try what I asked if you get the chance.

problems with xbox live

hey.

ok so my problems are these. i am from netherlans bought an xbox in netherlans and now also had a netherlans gamertag with xbox live, i am living in norway and since im here i cant download content anymore or go to account management nothing works.

so i made a new account/gamertag went to the store bought a new xbox live gold so i started my new account put in the information and i still keep having the same problems i cant download content i cant go to account management i basicly can only do offline
games. anny idias? when i test my connection it says i am connected at the second i wanna download content or go to account managemnt or marketplace or what ever u can think off it tels me this content is temporarly unavailable.



i been having this problems for 2-3 weeks ( bought and made the new gamertag today and xbox live ) hope someone can help me with this

 

All content purchased by one gamertag is licensed to that gamertag and cannot be changed. However, if the content was originally downloaded to the console that you are currently playing on then you should have access to it using other gamertags (this does
not include in-game items or avatar items).

You should be ok with maps, etc though.

 

Okay, so the big DLCs like map packs or all the Mass Effect 2 DLCs I bought (new missions, charakters etc.) should be working, but not the personalizing things like armor parts for my ingame character or avatar items?

Does something exist where I can see which contents are usable with my new account and which are not?

 

I think it's a matter of trial and error in seeing what stuff from your original account is accessable by your new account. From what I can tell from my own experience you can only access games, map packs etc that have the license on the same console, you
won't be able to access any avatar items and in game items with the new account that is linked to the old account. Also, if you change consoles, you might need to redownload some of your games as when moved to another console, some games will show up as demos
or trials for other accounts. I have this problem in relation to using Game Room games with the other accounts that I have stored on my Xbox console.

 

As I mentioned it does not include in-game or avatar items. Personalization items such as skins, etc or items specific to your avatar are not included.
