Do I own it? microsoft.com/store vs Windows 10 Store app?

When you use the Windows 10 Xbox App and click on something in store it links to Windows 10 Store app. If you use xbox.com and click on game it links to Microsoft.com/store. The Store App doesn't seem to clearly indicate you own a game. It has a get button
and then a buy button next to it with price even for free gold games. The store web site clearly says you own it and disables (hides) buy buttons. Am I missing something or is this the way it is supposed to be?

Problems using Promo Code

Yes. microsoftstore.com is Microsoft's retail store so they sell physical products. If you're actually trying to make the purchase through the digital store (microsoft.com or Windows store), it won't work.

 

Do I NEED to have an xbox?

As long as it is a windows 10 pc, Zoo Tycoon ultimate edition works just fine on windows 10, but not just Zoo Tycoon. Buy Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection - Microsoft Store

 

Hey Hoyty76! The store app and Microsoft.com/store may show different info for items if they are available for both PC and Xbox. The Store app will display info for Windows 10 specifically (unless marked otherwise). Thanks!
