    Do i need Xbox Live Gold to play Cross-Platform?


    I want to get Deep Rock Galactic on the Windows Store for my PC, so that i can play on my PC with that licence, and my wife can play logged in on our Xbox One with the Xbox licence, we can therefore play Cross-Platform with one licence between us.

    However, do we then both need to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold too?

    Hi there,

    There is no need for gold when it comes to PC gaming. Gold is only required for multiplayer on the Xbox.

    You need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online with the Xbox, but not for the PC.

    Hi, if you are playing on Xbox One, the following applies:

    If you want to play on Single Player mode only, you will not need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    But if you want to play on realms, connect to online servers or participate in cross-platform play, then you will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    However, if you want to use local multiplayer gaming (splitscreen), then you don't need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
