    Do I need Xbox Live Gold to get achievements on Windows Phone Xbox Games?


    Such as Dragon Mania Legend, The Sims Freeplay and Make it Rain?

    My gold membership ran out, now all these games (and others) give me an error similar to "Can't connect to Xbox Live".

    Xbox Live Gold will not be required for online multiplayer gaming using our service on Windows 10 PCs and Phones.

    I'm thinking he is referring to Xbox Live Gold. If that's the case, they've confirmed that you will not need to pay for Xbox Live Gold to access online modes/games for Windows 10.

    Hi there, you should not be required to have a Gold membership to play these games or earn achievements. Could you try power cycling your phone (turn off and back on) and, if that does not work, try turning your router off and back on?

    Windows Live and Xbox live question. Please answer ASAP.

    To get games on Steam or Games for Windows Live you do not need a Gold Membership. It only applies to your Xbox Live account.
