Do I need to install two separate game files for two different accounts?

Hello. I have a Korean account that I made while I was in Korea, and I've got some games(Rise of the Tomb Raider, Sunset Overdrive) that I purchased from Korean stores. Afraid of losing the original purchase rights from the Korean store, I decided to make
another US account to try new XBOX Game Pass for PC. As I have two different accounts with different purchase rights of the same game, I expected Microsoft Store to share one common files folder for the same title just like Steam.

What I didn't expect is that even if there is a same title installed, Xbox (Beta) app decides to download the same game AGAIN,

wasting a large space of the hard drive. Is it possible to two different users sharing the same game folder? I don't want to give up

hundreds of gigabytes because there are two different accounts sharing the same computer.

Sorry to hear it. However, I think the issue is not so much with the app but with the game. As the games you've already got downloaded were purchased in Korea it would have programming to make the language Korean. This could possibly fool the app into
thinking it was a different program and forcing the download.

I would suggest using the Report a Bug feature within the app to report what happened so the devs know and can work on it.

Note however that you won't be able to use your account on two different consoles at the same time. You will need two separate accounts for that.

The Xbox One can share a gold subscription, but only on the same console. If they're playing on two different consoles with two different accounts, you would need a separate gold subscription.

Unfortunately, Yakuza 4 is not a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. So the game save you have on your Xbox would be a separate save instance from the PC version of the game. In a sense, they'll be treated like two separate games, so you'd need a new save file if you were hoping to play on two different devices (console vs. PC)

If you don't have the physical disc, you have no need for the installation file anyway.

If you were to download from the Marketplace, it would need to make a separate installation as the two files are not the same. You wouldn't just be able to use the installation file you created from disc to play a digital version.
