Do I need to get my kids a gamepass each or can I use one?

Can you just confirm that each child has their own console? This is not clear from your description.

Let's just say do... and in the situation, you only need one Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Child 'A' would have the subscription and would need to make child 'B' console thier home console. Then when child 'B' using his console, he will be sharing child
'A' subscription. Child 'A' will be able to use his own console, as long as they are on-line. The only thing they can't do is that child 'B' will not be able to play on child 'A' console without child 'A' being signed in.

Confusing! I know... I had to read what I wrote twice to make sure it makes sense. 😆

With regards to the items already purchased in their account, as long it was on their own account, this should be fine. Adding their accounts to a family group would not change this.

No. This is much simpler. Either child just need a subscription and they will both be able to use it. No need for both to have it.

set kid a console as kid b home

set kid b console as kid a home

once done thats it they can use each others games and you only need gold or gamepass ultimate for one of them for them to both play online.

the only caveat, each child must be connected to xbox live to play their own games which most of the time they will be.

i would love to see a family package for gamepass pc only too, my kids each have gamepass for pc as they only play pc and i hate having to tie a payment option to each of there accounts and the fact you cant purchase more than a month.

I dont use it anymore but i have 5 kids.
