    It's ultimately up to you depending on what you're wanting to use it for. I have both installed on mine.

    The console companion app has been discontinued so any new features will only be added to the Xbox app.

    I have Windows 10 on my computer, my console is up to date, my Companion App is up to date, and everything is connected, yet it also says either one needs an update.
