Discus and support do I need the disc in xbox one to play? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have COD black ops 3 disc.     Is backwards compatibility working yet?

    Hi, I've become a preview member and now would like to play Maas Effect on my Xbox one but when I put the disc in it says I need an Xbox one disc, why is this? Do I need to download something for compatibility?

    The only way to play without the disc is if you download/install the digital version. If you use the physical disc to install the game then it will have to be in the drive before you can play the game.

    I heard that the Xbox One can transfer the game data from a disc to the Xbox one. And install it on the system. Off of the disc so that you won't need the disc anymore in the system. Is that correct? How do I do this? Is that an option or is that on PlayStation only?
    That is not correct and Playstation can not do this either. So whoever told you that was wrong.

    The only way to play without the disc (on both Xbox and PlayStation) it to have purchased the digital copy of a game.

    The way you describe it is actually how it now works on Xbox One, but on Xbox 360 the two files are unique and do not do this. So to play without the disc, you will need to complete the full digital download, otherwise you will need to use the disc to use
    that particular installation file.

    Hi, you do not need to switch disc as all games are installed to the Xbox One's hard drive to play; you won't have to insert the disc to run the game after that initial process.
