Do I have to sign in to my Live account ever time my kids want to play a downloaded game I ...

I bought the downloaded Minecraft for my XBOX 360. I created separate profiles for my kids but it appears that I have to sign in to my Live account every time my kids want to play it. Is this because MS has to verify that I bought it? Is there a work-around
for this? Should I have bought the disc version?

I have a feeling I'm not going to like the answer to this but here it goes.

1. family pack
2. movies all on my main account
3. downloaded games all on my account
4. two xbox ones, one in living room, one in bedroom

how can my kids watch a movie downstairs and me play a game upstairs?

movies only work on the account they are purchased with. The 360 allowed me to download and watch on the console with any account.

the 360 also allowed downloaded games to be played on the console with any account..

but now with my One, my kids have to sign into my account to watch a movie, which kicks me out mid game, so I sign into my kids live account, and when I try to play a game it tells me I have to buy it?

Is this for real?

 

Why do I have to sign in for others to play on xbox one???

Okay, that was really general, here's the issue, please help as it's driving me nutz...

We have two XB1s in the house. One for me, one for the kids. I downloaded Minecraft for the kid on their XB1. Now, when I downloaded it I did it under my profile. When my kids want to play, I have to provide my PIN and sign in, which then boots me off my
XB1. As soon as I go back to my XB1 to play any game, not even Minecraft, the kids get booted off Minecraft on their XB1 as I have logged back into my XB1.

Both my kids have full gold memberships too, just like me. Why would I have to be signed in on their XB1 for them to play Minecraft? Does it matter that Minecraft was purchased and downloaded under my Xbox Live account? And if so, why the hell would that
matter, especially since both my kids have gold memberships? Do I not own the game now, and cannot anyone play that I want them to? What the hell is happening, please help me...

This is really pissing me off, a lot...

 

If it is on the Console you first DL'd it to, you do not need to be Signed-in with the Profile that bought it.

 

Hmmm, the first time we used it with one of my kids profiles I had to sign it. After that I was able to use it with both of the profiles without signing in. So I guess it must be recording this somewhere.

 

No recording. Its just working like it should.

When you Download anything from Xbox LIVE, you get a Digital License with that Content. You actually get two License (its known as DRM or Digital Rights Management).

The Console it was first DL'd on gets one License for any Profile with or without a Connection to XBL.

The Profile that DL'd the Content gets one License that will verify the DL when Connected to XBL regardless of which Console it was first DL'd on.

The catch being, if neither are available you have nothing to verify the License. All of this is for the Xbox 360. The Xbox One works a little different with a Setting called "Home". In short it does the same License as 1st Console
License.

 

That makes sense. I guess the first time it asked me to sign it, it was just verifying the license.
