Do I have to repurchase Minecraft?

My Microsoft account was hacked I'd say two months ago and the password and email was changed for it, so the only thing Microsoft support could do for me was terminate the account. When my account was terminated I had no access to my Minecraft login, so, do I have to repurchase Minecraft or is there a way for me to recover my purchase?

Unfortunately, you will have to repurchase Minecraft on your new account since the account that owned your Minecraft game license was compromised and terminated.

I'm afraid it is not possible to recover any purchases from that previous account.

After more research, yes you had to of purchased the digital copy. Seems kind of stupid to me as well..

So it's only if I buy the Digital Download of the game?

I purchased/pre-ordered the Ghost edition earlier in the year. Does this not count?

Have you tried dowloading it on your XBox One console and did you keep the same gamertag and everything?
