Do I have to repurchase Destiny?

I have been playing Destiny on the 360 and just the Xbox one. Do I really have to purchase the game again to enjoy it on my new console?

When you buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game, Expansion I or Expansion Pass for Xbox 360 on or before January 15th, 2015, you can download the Xbox One copy from the Xbox Store for free by doing the following:

- Log into your Xbox One using the same Microsoft Account (Xbox Live Account) used to buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game or Expansion Pass on Xbox 360.

- Navigate to the digital content’s location in the Xbox Store.

- Add the item to your download queue and wait for the download to complete.

Expansion Pass content (which includes Expansions I and II) will only be available for full download once released.

From what that says I am guessing you had to download it digitally to the X360.

 

So it's only if I buy the Digital Download of the game?

I purchased/pre-ordered the Ghost edition earlier in the year. Does this not count?

Have you tried dowloading it on your XBox One console and did you keep the same gamertag and everything?

 

After more research, yes you had to of purchased the digital copy. Seems kind of stupid to me as well..
