    Do I have to download games that are on a disc


    Do I have to download games from the disc before playing on the XboxOne S? The games were bought specifically for the Xbox One S platform and every disc inserted I have to wait for it to download, with the previous models you just put the disc in and play.
    Are we doing something wrong?

    Question about the free game if you have a broken xbox question

    When you receive your new console you'll have to re-download Down Rising Three. All of your downloads are connected to your Gamertag. On Xbox 360 you could actually view you download history and re-download from there. On the Xbox One you'll have to find
    Dead Rising 3 in the Game Store and just re-install/re-download.

    If you have a Xbox One that isn't working what is 2 free games going to do for you? Also, do you have a potentially damaged disc or a disc you can't eject? I can understand giving someone with a broken drive something to replace their potentially lost game
    disc while also letting them play in the meantime. Just giving away games because people believe they're entitled to the universe isn't smart financially.

    Some games on the Xbox 360 do need to be installed 1st to play them. It should state on the back of the case whether or not the game will need to be installed.

    No. It may have an update that might download when you connect to live, but disc based games do not need to be downloaded.
