Do I have to be actively on my Xbox to give a family member permission to ply online or can I do it from my phone?

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

You can do it from your phone through the Xbox Family Settings app. For more info about the Xbox Family Settings app, you may check out this link; https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/family-onli....

    Worms battlegrounds

    hiya, sorry to hear this.

    Try this.

This could be due to the account being a child account,

you'll more than likely need to log in your account and alter your son's permissions and privileges under family settings. if this account isn't in a family you can do it through the account you're trying to get online with.

all you need to do if it is under a family is,

Go into settings, Account, family settings, Manage family members, click the account and change the permissions

If the account is not under family.

Go into settings, account, Privacy and online safety then under Xbox live privacy check, all the right permissions are ticked.

I hope this helped - Redmonkey.

xbox gold family account purchasing points

    Hello Robo,

only the primary member can buy points but you can share to others.

How do I share points with family members (secondary accounts)?

The primary member on the Gold Family Pack membership can give Microsoft Points to other family members (secondary members), so that they can make purchases on Xbox LIVE.

    Give points to family members

1.On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE using the Family Pack primary account (the account used to sign up for the Family Pack membership).

2.Go to Settings, and then select Family.

3.Select the member that you want to give points to.

    4.Select Grant Allowance.

5.Follow the on-screen instructions to give Microsoft Points to the secondary member. Points that you give to a secondary member cannot be reversed later.

Note If you don’t have enough points in your account, you’ll be prompted to add more points before giving points to the secondary member.

    Sons Microsoft/Xbox accounts blocked

On Microsoft family I have my son's account as a family member. In order for him to play games or buy things on fortnite he has to ask permission to do so. But yet speaking with xbox supporter they kept telling me there was nothing I could do except fill out a recovery form.

    Transferring Xbox points.

You can transfer Microsoft points when in a Family Membership IceStorm from the 'parent' account to one of the child accounts in amounts of 400 I believe.

Instructions on how to do so can be found here Xbox Family Pack | Xbox LIVE Membership | Gold Family Pack - Xbox.com.
