    To start, this has occurred before signing up in this test. I was hoping this might fix it, but it hasn't.

    Here's the issue: whenever I turn on my X1X, it turns on The TV it's plugged into as well as another TV, about 15 ft away. It does this EVERY TIME. I know there is a function to make the Xbox turn on the TV at the same time as power on, but I have that disabled.

    It's freaky but annoyingly funny. I really can't think on how.the hell this is a possibility.....

    No its not the sat box it does not turn everything on TV surround sat box. As soon as I unplug power from Xbox and plug it in it works and turns everything on again it works for awhile then have to unplug it again!

    If all you're trying to do is use the One Guide on the Xbox with your current cable box then it's as simple as plugging the cable boxes HDMI cable that is currently plugged into the TV into the Xbox.

    Do you not have a cable box and currently have a coaxial cable from wall to TV? If so are you just getting basic channels with no option of HBO, etc?

    Would you not have t turn on your cable box anyway ? I hope I can plug my virgin media box into the X1 and then come in from work and watch TV through talking and hand movements :) I am guessing the X1 should bring together more download channels into the
    same TV listing.

    From what I understand, people with a cable/satelite/freeview box, will plug this into the XboxOne, instead of directly through the tv JUST so that we can use the Xbox interface overlayed on top of the cable/satelite/freesat interface...?!?

    It doesn't make ANY sense at all....?!?!? So if I want to watch tv, I have to turn the tv on, turn the XboxOne on and turn the cable/satelite/freeview box on - are you having a laugh?!
