Do I have a child account on an age of 22?

You have to go to https://accounts.microsoft.com

And if you didn't change your ms account or the age of the ms account you can remove the parenral account

BUT if you edited the age to make it 22 that won't work

It goes by the age that you originally set it to when you started the xbox account

EA have an age restriction policy for online gaming Mighty, there is nothing MS can do about this.

Unfortunately the age on your account must reflect that you are below the minimum age to play their games (child account)..

And once an account is created the age can not be altered/edited.

Once the minimum age to do so is reached a child account can be promoted to an adults.

(If it was set at 1989 then your account would be an adult account and you would not be having this issue).

Support is correct. It's not possible to change the age of an account once it has been created and change an adult account to a child account. In order to be able to use restrictions for him, you would have to create a brand new, child account for him and
your account would be the parent account. Nothing can be transferred between accounts so he would have to start over.

Are you sure you can't change the age of an account? I just went into my account on live.com, and went under personal info. I changed my age to the age of my child. When I hit "save", it prompted me that I first had to revoke consent for my child accounts.
I didn't continue, but it appears that if I do revoke consent, then I will have successfully changed my age. Then I'd have my account with a child's age, and I could create a new account and make my old account a child of the new account...

If you have a child account then you can't play GTA V online due to the age limit

There are 2 ways for an account to be a child account.

1. DOB when the account was originally setup is under the age of majority (18 in most countries). This can not be changed and you would have to wait it out.

2. It is in a family as a child account. When the DOB is put in that is under the age of majority it is required to be put into a family as a child account. You can check this out by signing into the parental account at account.microsoft.com/family and you
would have to option to remove your account from the family. Keep in mind if you do this and your DOB is still under the age of majority you would not be able to do anything on the account till you are put back into a family as a child.
