    DNS issues

Okay so I just recently port forwarded to get my nat type to open. It didn't really work so I DMZd my xbox one and that got it to open. Now I don't know what DNS to use be for some reason it deleted my old primary and secondary dns. The previous ones had
weird format and couldn't be re entered anyway because they had a bunch of :: and said the word feed. Someone please help.

    :)

how to speed up your download speed on your xbox one

I thought this would be gone by now.

    1. Changing your DNS can improve your download speed but it is not simply because you changed DNS. What happens is if your ISP DNS is bad it can resolve you to node that is not well suited for what you are trying to do. If your ISP DNS is not good this can improve your download speeds.
    2. As it is more likely you hit the Xbox live download cap vs Dns issues. Depending on load the Xbox live server can limit your download speed.
    3. As Indie stated there is a chance that you had ERA's(exclusive resource apps) running and that will limit your download speed.
    4. Changing your DNS to google or Open DNS opens you up to information collection by google for selling to ad companies. At 1 point Cloud fare was offering free dns with a privacy policy.

Hello, If you want to use the original you could try and enable the automatic network settings on your xbox and reconfigure the IP etc

or you can use the opendns DNS settings 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

    Or GoogleDNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

The issue affects my PC as well as my Xbox, so changing settings on my xbox will not help.

The problem seems to lie in my network itself.

Hmm, alrighty. Well your router doesn't have any known issues. What would be the make/model of your modem by chance? Also, are you able to try and bypass your router and connect directly to your modem?

Let us know, and we can go from there.
