Hi I just bought a xbox one the other night and I got it set up but I cannot connect to my internet.

I turned off the cisco e1200 router with no luck

I have tried typing in the dns numbers manually

I have turned the system on and off multiple times

I have tried everything. I just dont know what to do.

I know that xbox live was down for the most part yesterday. Is that affecting my connection today?

    Can someone help please?

    :)

    Hey UnfitCloth61980,

    Welcome to Xbox!

I see you have tried many methods to try and connect to Live. Are you using a wireless or cable connection? Using a wireless, you will defiantly need to open the following ports to your xbox one. Your IP Address for your xbox one can be found under Xbox
One Settings > Networks > Advance Settings. Then, you'll need to open the Ports via using a computer browser to enter the ports manually through your home IP. Address. Use the list below to open all those ports to the allocated IP Address your Xbox One is
using on the network. The router settings you need is called Port Forwarding.

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    UDP Port 3544 (UDP)

    UDP Port 4500 (UDP)

After you have done this, save your router port forwarding, reset the router and the console. Then lastly, reconnect your Xbox One after turning it on.

Let us know if that helps. We have plenty of other solutions that can assist with this!
