    DNS Error


    Every time I try to join an online session the game says there is a DNS Error but I have tried everything to fix the problem. I have checked internet settings, uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game, and uninstalled the expansion pass and reinstalled
    it. This has been happening since I bought the hot wheels expansion pass about a month ago and the DNS Error has come up ever since. Every other online feature works in the game though I'm fact every other game I have works online. I have asked Turn 10 Studios
    many times to help me but all they do is redirect to the xbox insider program which I can't sign up for because I'm not 18. Please help because this is the last thing I can think of doing. Help would be much appreciated.

    I'm getting error

    I'm getting error while trying to connect xbox 360 on internet.

    looks like a DNS error,

    i'm using wireless, automatic ip, automatic DNS.

    Hello there! Are you using an external HDD? If so, sometimes changing it to a different USB port can fix the problem.

    No I have switched the game from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive many times. I have also changed the port many times while the game was on the external hard drive

    same problem i cant host a game or private game because the dns error in the offcial forum of the game many people with the same problem,no answer or solutions,its a scam,and this is the last forza game for me for the horrible support of the game

    Latest version of the 2wire. I don't control when it updates, that's up to AT&T Uverse.

    Home network is thus...

    360, Uverse Box and Laser Printer connect to a 1 Gbps Netgear 8 port switch, which then connects to a Cat 5e Wall socket which comes out in my wiring closet patch panel to my 24 port 1Gbps switch, which then connects to the Uverse router.

    Just on a lark I switched the 360 to wireless and it connected fine... so it's a wiring problem... So on a lark I rebooted the 8 port switch (which was working fine for the printer and the Uverse tv box), and suddenly the wired connection worked.

    I managed to get it to work by turning the ethernet Configure IPv4 from off (what was recommended via the guide on support) to using DHCP, not sure if this will work for you (assuming you haven't tried already) but I wish you good luck!
