DNS error when connecting

I've been trying to connect all day and I've been getting a dns error message, it's not the first time the problem has happened and it's actual rather frequent that I run into connection problems with my 360 to the point where I stopped buying multiplayer
games for my 360 and only bought games that complete series I already have (like mass effect 3 because I already had #1 and #2 for 360 ) finally I've had enough, I want my xbox live back and I want this migraine from trying to fix it myself to go away.

so yeah

before I get to far into what i've done so far I need to explain this important part:

I live in a hotel and do not have access to the router -I can't touch it, access it, hell I can't even tell you what color it is. so I can't reset it or make any other changes to it nor can I connect directly via cable (the hotel is old
and doesn't have ports for doing this, so wifi is all I can do )

what i've done so far:

previously my xbox was able to connect (about 2-3 years ago) no problem via wireless adaptor on the back, this changed when the hotel management upgraded to new routers and put the various connections (for different zones of the hotel) to the same name,
so the xbox wasn't able to tell the difference between the connections since they all had the same name. after much trouble shooting I finally band-aided (it worked semi-regularly ) this problem by piggy-backing my xbox thru my laptop:

connect xbox to laptop via Ethernet cable, connect laptop to wifi, have laptop share wifi connection via Ethernet cable

it usually took 30-60 minutes of fiddling with the laptop settings, the cable, and the 360 settings, but atleast it worked for downloading DLC (not the greatest for multiplayer games though or Netflix )

recently this has stopped working as well, (yesterday/today ) giving my the DNS error or IP address conflict error.

i've tried all the suggestions the xbox has presented and even some suggestions i've found online like using googles DNS settings (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 ) but with no success.

i've even gone so far as to format my hard drive and delete all my save games from the last 10 years (a little piece of me died inside T.T )

a lot of help would be much appreciated.

Xbox DNS error

my xbox giving me error and not connecting to online..

Error: "you DNS server can't resove Xbox live server names."

I've tried different DNS servers from my ISP by putting manually and also tried google DNS but error still sustain.

any advice would be highly appreciated.

The support page recommends calling your isp if the direct modem connection doesn't work.

I have an Xbox 360 ( Black ) When I connect online me error dns . I contacted an operator xbox telephone company but have not solved ! you have suggestions ? normal procedures change dns console restart etc. were already ' made ​​help me!
