    DNLA Playback with the Media-player app (Spinning Circe and buffering) issue.


    DNLA is working pretty good finding My NAS server and playing media contend. The only problem I'm having is when I pause the media-player and once I resume the media that I'm viewing will start to chock and I will get a spinning circle like its buffering
    the file. It wont play again until I start from the very beginning. So I don't pause anymore because of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Black issues with an XBOX One S and the media player

    Which is the best method of playback from a NAS quality wise.

    Media Player (Standard DNLA default app)

    Plex app - accessing same files on a plex Server

    Entertainment>My films & TV>Personal>Media Servers
    (The interface is different in this method compared to the stock DLNA media player app)

    Preview Program Questions for people NOT in the Preview

    To the OP I tried it out this morning for movies and music and the Answer to your Question is NO, music cannot be played in the background, the app can be minimised to the home screen but opening up another game or app cancels any playback from Media app.
    Having said that it did work fault free for me so it's a win so far. Now bring on that DNLA part and it's gold.

    Plex server on PC or Mac + unsupported AppStore + dnla media player on Xbox one = sorted!

    I just installed that plex media server to my PC and the xbox was able to detect that straight away so if your xbox can't detect the windows media play or the plex then my assumption would be either your anti-virus, firewall or your some setting in your
    router is blocking access.

    My Xbox doesn't even detect my PC. When I launch the media player app, I get the message that I have to connect to a DLNA server or USB drive to view media. If I launch my Xbox 360's media app, I see my desktop's DLNA server in addition to the Plex server
    I'm running. This is using the same network cable for both the 360 and the Xbox One.
