    Hello all,

    So I have decided I am going to to put my xbox one in DMZ on my router. However I have a concern. I have read not to use a combination of DMZ and Upnp and to disable upnp. However if I disable it how will this effect other devices connected to my router?
    Do I even need to bother disabling upnp?

    DMZ and UPnP don't mix. Undo one or the other; preferably UPnP enabled, DMZ off.

    Hi,

    If all other games work ok it does sound game related but just so you know, you shouldn't use port forwarding UPnP and a DMZ or any combination all at the same time.

    Either use:-

    UPnP on its own (no forwarding or DMZ)

    Portforwarding on its own (no UPnP or DMZ)

    DMZ on its own (no upnp or forwarding)

    no it should not the DMZ and upnp will react against each other that is why i disabled upnp

    Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will help me. Been trying to get my NAT type to stay open but it keeps switching back and forth to moderate.
