    DLNA Issue in Media Player - Custom Background


    Ok so I am unable to set a custom image as my background on my xbox one. When I open my mediashare files and open the picture I want and hit the menu button, I only have two options: Home and About. I'm getting really frustrated with this now. Someone please
    help Or Xbox fix this bug

    DLNA Issues

    I've been trying to set a custom background via DLNA media server. I can view the image on my xbox one from my phone. My issue however is when I press menu, it doesn't show the "Set as Background" option. I've met all prerequisites including jpg or png,
    and under 3MB.

    Any ideas what the issue is?

    Background music

    I cant get background music to work. Wireless display preview app lags, media player doesn't recognize hard drives, and dlna stop working.

    Hey there, DvR Steez! I'm very sorry to see any issues setting your background with a custom image! Hopefully I can clear some items up!

    Custom background images need to be either JPEG or PNG to be able to be set as a background. If they are any other file type, they will not give the option.

    If they are one of those files types, are you using this through streaming to your PC, or are you using a USB device plugged into your console?

    Post back and let me know what file type they are, and what option you're using to get them onto your console. We'll get to the bottom of this! DLNA Issue in Media Player - Custom Background :D

    Custom image

    1. Download the Media Player app to your console.
    2. Put a JPG or PNG file on a USB device, and then plug it into your Xbox. (You can also use a DLNA share for this.)
    3. Select Custom image.
    4. This launches the Media Player app. Choose your device, and then choose your image.
    5. When it’s displayed, press the Menu button  on your controller and select Set as background.

    You can do it through DLNA. I've been able to access images streamed from my computers and use those as backgrounds through the media player app.
