    DLNA Client for Xbox One


    Please add DLNA client/browser support for the Xbox One - this was one of the most used features on my XBox 360. I was extremely disappointed that a "full fledged" "all-in-one" entertainment system did not have this feature.

    For those who don't know, XBox One does support "Play To" - i.e. you can navigate to a video/music file on your computer and right and select "Play To XBox One" and it will stream to the machine so long as you have XBox Video and/or Music installed. For
    NAS users like myself, you can't do this and will need a third party app on your phone or iPad such as Skifta (Android or iOS) or Synology DS Video works very well if you own a Synology NAS.

    This is a temporary solution till Microsoft can update the XBox One to a level they already surpass with the XBox 360.

    When are MS going to introduce this feature?

    I use my 360 for watching movies all the time by browsing to my PC (upstairs) and choosing a movie.

    Given that the there is no Voice Recgnition in Ireland, the One Guide does not work and TV integration doesn't cope with the multi sources we use ( Sat, Terrestrial) then for Gods sake, let us watch video.

    Wow, today an update to my Nokia 1020 Play To app and it connected to my X1 to stream video, pictures and music and worked perfectly. Too bad they cant just stream the whole phone like hooking up an hdmi cable to an iPhone or apple tv. That would be awesome
    just to play around with and it would let you play games on the bigscreen.

    Now needing Arcade, some backwards comp, 3d bluray, and a controller with wireless chat for the older turtle beach tango and xp500. oops, and a next generation game would be nice, not a game that can be played on the 360

    I agree, I really miss this option. Games are nice but I have alot of data stored on my server that I access via my console (360) now I have to shut done the xbox one and use my 360. Come on this console is supposed to be better and more powerful and yet
    we miss this simple little option.
