DLC (skins, textures) no longer shared on home console

Got a couple of kids. Each has XBL account. We have MC XB1 Edition, and bought several skin, texture and mashup packs. Obviously it made sense to buy them on my account, allowing the kids to use them on our Xbox One. Works great.

Got the MCBT version on the Xbox today. First thing I checked was that the DLC worked. It did - for me. When my kids fired it up, they were asked to buy the packs. This caused some serious upset with the youngest especially. We can't afford to just
buy them again, for each kid separately, to use on the same Xbox. So is this something that will be fixed, or are they going to be sticking to the MCXB1 version? (Which'd be a shame, visually at least, the MCBT version is much better).

Game sharing

When your gamertag is set as Home (or signed in) you can access the game and any DLC with another gamertag on that console. However, any in game items such as skins are not usually shared via this method and would need to be purchased separately.

DLC bought under one account is accessible to other account on the same Xbox.

It basically depends on the DLC, In general DLC will be shared via the Home console setting like games are, but there are exceptions that won't be shareable via the Home console setting.

As far as I know there is no list with those exceptions.

Update: Spoke to MS via live chat, and they say this should be resolved soon, that it will migrate the licenses to allow DLC sharing on the home console just like MCXB1 does currently. Hope it doesn't take too long, got some expectant small people here!

To clarify further on what Smwutches said, which in-game content will share via the Home console feature will vary by game, but typically additional DLC like map packs/etc. will share, while cosmetic items such as weapon skins and in-game consumables would
not.

Most content that you download will be accessible by other accounts on the console you have set as your Home console. There might be a few pieces of DLC that won't share that way, but most content will. If they use a different console or you change your
Home console, they will no longer have access to the content.

You don't need to set up an additional Live membership. You can actually share the Gold membership as well as digital game purchases between both children via the Home sharing feature. Whichever child has the Gold membership on their account should be
set as Home on the other child's console. Then their Gold membership and any digital game purchase as well as most DLC (skins and some in game features are not shared.) and Xbox Game Pass.

EA Access is not available to share with this feature.
