DLC not being recognized

    DLC not being recognized


    This is actually about Resident Evil Revelations 2, but for some reason that game doesn't show up in the drop-down menu.

    I purchased the bundle containing Revelations and Revelations 2, according to the marketplace I own the Deluxe Edition of Revelations 2, it also downloaded the items included in that product (the episodes and various DLC items), they're labelled as "installed",
    but when starting the game, none of them is accessible.

    In the home Menu, it says I'm playing RE Revelations 2 (Episode One), no mention of "Deluxe" or anything, but that's only the Free "Episode One", which might explain the issues with the DLC not being recognised.

    As said, in the marketplace, all related items are "installed", they're on my HDD as well. Upon uninstalling, none of them is marked "owned", except for the "Deluxe Edition", the individual items are priced as regular.

    Multiple re-installations, via Xbox and via the store website, didn't fix the issue, neither did a hard reset.

    I have no idea what to do/who to ask for help, does anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you for your reply. Let us reinstall DirectX, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, and all Microsoft Drivers. Let us see how your computer respond.

    DirectX not being recognized???

    the link only show the process of how to find out which version of DirectX is installed. It doesn't have any other steps or options to try and fix it.

    This worked for me.

    1. Just in case delete the game including all the DLCs.

    2. Hard reset the console.

    3 Download Free Episode 1 from store.

    4. Download Compatibility when asking.

    5. Start playing the Episode one to unlock full main menu. (I don't know why it appeared for me doing so)

    6. Quit the game and go to the store (not the in-game store) and find RER2 Deluxe and pick Manage.

    7. Install all DLCs. Wait until everything is downloaded.

    8. Play.

    Since you installed the DLC from the disc, you will need disc 2 in when you play the game and the DLC will work.

    Hi there,

    usually a DLC can be installed wihout the base game being present (it can't be played because it requires the base game) and when the disc is used to play the game on the Xbox 360 then, as far as I am aware the DLC should be recognized.

    with the dlc there is a bug where someitmes it wont recognize it and you will have to either reload the game, possibly make a new save file or even redownload the dlc. sometimes it takes a while for bioshock to recognize that there is the dlc on the xbox

    Like Adoredape says, the issue steams from how Project CD Red decided to publish the titles. They are technically two different games, one being the base game with the DLC and the other the complete game with the DLCs.

    So the Xbox system doesn't recognize the save file from the previous one. It has the same issue on other platforms.
