DLC language

Not sure about this so here it goes:

I'm an American living in Japan. I have a Japanese Xbox One (backwards compatible) and my Xbox Store is Xbox Japan.

I've been downloading games from the Japanese store for quite some time without any trouble.

All my downloads (base games and dlc's) are always English.

I recently purchased (as a download) Fallout New Vegas.

It's in English.

I purchased a few dlc's for that game and they are not English.

They are in Japanese which makes the alphabet screwy with wierd symbols.

I can read basic Japanese and those symbols are not Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji.

To be ultra sure, I had my wife (a Japanese) look at it.

I've spoken to Microsoft who in turn sent me to Bethesda who sent me back to Microsoft who sent me to this forum.

I've tried every trick microsoft told me to do, and they've even walked me through several attempts to fix it but it won't work.

According to everyone I've spoken to at Microsoft Japan & USA, the base game downloaded in English so the dlc's should see this and be downloaded as English as well.

Makes sense right?

I think so too, but this is Microsoft we're talking about, so sense went out the window a long time ago.

Any ideas

Game language

with blackops the DLC language must match the DISC language

also the language of the DLC is limited to the region of your account offical languages

and your physical region and account region must match to download the DLC

 

Unable to support english language.

That would be why

Your account region sets the language of any dlc or games on demand game based on your nationally supported language

Consolw language doesnt affect dlc or availability of languages in live

The region of your account and the nationally supported language dictates what languages are available in your region
