DLC in Fallout 4

So, I finished Fallout 4 and decided to buy the DLC missions. I went to the store, purchased the product and it began downloading. I then went to play.

When I checked for the DLC content, I could not find it for the most part. If I scroll to the bottom of my Home page, I can see the icon right next to the icon for the game. If I click on it or click the menu button and go to Manage Game, I go to a gray screen
which simply has my membership info on it. There are no options. If I just click on the icon I get a message that I have to install the game or app.

If I click the menu button on the game icon, I can go Manage the Game but while there are a couple of drop down menus instead of the gray screen with no options, nothing is functional. The only thing I can do is delete the game.

Now, if I could go to individual files I want to remove, I could probably remove that file and d/l it again. But for some reason MS doesn't want us to be able to control our own computers and devices anymore.

So, how do I fix this?

New DLC??

^ I'd rather have Fallout 4 then more Skyrim DLC.

 

Fallout 4 Season Pass not working

To download any DLC that has been released go to My Games and Apps>Fallout 4>hit the menu button on Fallout 4>Manage Game. From there you can see any DLC that you can download.

 

There is no dlc available yet for fallout 4. The season pass which is available now gives you access to the dlc's when they are released.

 

I purchased the dlc pack in Feb. I find the purchase in my microsoft acct., but the Add-on Automation, released 3 days ago, doesn't show up on my xbox1.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes the dlc doesn't show up in the ready to install. Try looking for it in the xbox store, and if it says install instead of the price, then you will be able to get it free of charge. Just select it and start the install from there.

 

Highlight the game and press the menu button and then go to manage game. The Automatron DLC should show as ready to install. Choose that option and download the 1.1 GB DLC. Download content doesn't show under Ready to Install, only full games are available
there.

I have been working on fallout for 2 and a half days according to the game. I recently downloaded wasteland work shop content. I was exploring near the ufo crash site and my game has errored. I can no longer shoot a gun or use vats in the game. I have reset
the xbox the two different ways. I am currently at level 23. None of the quick saved games load at level 23. The only other saves i have are early in thr game 6 hours in. I loaded this game and the game guns are able to be shot and the game runs normally.
Please help this a lot of game time to lose. It seems odd that district recently had an issue with charater loss.

 

I've heard people talk about this problem on PC and there are console command fixes (which we don't have) for that. Out of interest, are you currently undertaking the Reunions quest with Nick Valentine? Apparently that mission and a glitch with the door
at Vault 114 can cause problems.

Another suggestion which I read worked for someone was to switch companions.

I'm not sure if you can do this in the menu, but if you can then another thing you could try is re-assigning the buttons on the controller; try, say, changing VATS to the B button to see if that helps.

I did a quick look and couldn't find anyone else reporting it there, so you may need to start a discussion

 

(Stupid rule, but we can't edit posts after a couple of minutes, so...)

Another suggestion: Someone on PS4 fixed this problem by toggling between 3rd person and 1st person. Also try going in and out of power armour. I know they're a real stretch, but if it's worked for someone then it's worth trying.

 

I have had this same problem!! I managed to sort it out by going in water, swimming around then loading up Pip-Boy. It then worked after that. From what some other people also did was stepping in and out of power armour whilst in workshop areas
