DLC games will not play correctly on new xbox 360

I bought a new xbox 360. I moved all my stuff from the old xbox to the new using memory sticks. I then transferred the licenses as well. Here is the problem: the dlc games will not work for anyone on the console except me. For example, I bought minecraft
with my account for my kids to play. This was not an issue on the old xbox. But on the new one, it is only a trial version for them unless my profile is signed in as well. Also, the DLC songs for rocksmith 2014 do not show up when my son plays that game.
My profile works fine. Any suggestions?

Xbox Marketplace downloaded games

The only thing that will transfer to the xboxone is your xbox live account. All games on demand, xbox live arcade games, and dlc will not be transferable to xboxone because it not be able to run on the new system. You will want to keep your xbox 360 to
play these things. They will continue 360 support and release new content for it also

Can't play games on demand or DLC that were purchased after license transfer while offline.

Two years ago my first 360 had a RRoD. I bought a new 360 and transferred the contents of the old hard drive to the new one. I did a license transfer, redownloaded content and everything was fine.

I just moved to a new house that does not yet have internet access. I CAN play all of the games on demand and access any dlc content that was on the OLD 360. However, I CANNOT play any games or use any dlc purchased in the past two years on the NEW 360.
I am using the same account I've had since my first Xbox.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

You did hear correctly. The Xbox One is not backward compatible with the Xbox 360. If you still want to play your 360 games, you'd have to keep your 360 around, or purchase Xbox One versions of the games.

My son plays fallout on his xbox, previously on his 360 and now wants to play it on his xbox1 which the game is backwards compatible on. the problem is he is unable to get his xbox1 to find the dlc's he purchased on his xbox360 and it says that
it should know which dlc's he had purchased previously but it is not working correctly any help would be greatly appreciated. have tried to contact Microsoft but it seems there is no way to actually get to speak to a real person there(extremely frustrating)

Unfortunately it'**** and miss as to backwards compatibility. For the most part developers ported the game to the new consoles but DLC may have been integrated or it was not selling well so it was abandoned etc.

i doubt it would be a HDD fail. as this would cause more problems then accessing a DLC

anyways ....

try these steps ( guessing )

1. move your save game to a usb ( to "protect it )

2. delete all contents of the game including THE DLC

3. clear the cache

4. switch the xbox off for 30 seconds, then turn back on.

5. install the main game to hard drive.

6.load game up & download the new title update for it.

7. Go to Dashboard And download the DLC

8. try play the DLC with a new game save ( if it lets you )

if i remember correctly some games have issues playing saves from a main game

for example you couldnt play some fallout DLCS with a character that used another DLC because some items was in 1 dlc which wasnt in the other. ( i think it was fallout ) , but give it a shot anyways.
