DLC content is extreme extremely unfair!

^Really? You got a game for free, and you're going to complain that you had to wait for it to download?

 

Yeah downloads take a while. Didn't bother attempt to play when it said ready till it was 100%. Cause a friend said he did that and his games locked up then.

 

Maybe we should go back to the days of 8-bit graphics so that the downloads don't take so long?

 

Actually i'd take plenty of my 8 bit games over plenty of this and last generation games in a heartbeat. Yeah i'm grateful Forza 5 was free. Didn't even knew it was bundled. But like I said racing games don't keep me occupied for long. Don't see me playing
this game a year or so down the road unless a friend begged me to play it online.

Seemed like racers in the past on cartridge games kept me occupied longer like Road Rash or RC PRO AM. Racing games now days seems like that in-between game when you get burnt out on a shooter game you been hunkering down on for a year straight. Guess
I been gaming to long. Games don't suck me in like they use to. Less replay value or lack of maps right away or servers are horrible or the game is broken upon release and no patches in near future.

"I hate paying for DLC and it's unfair" - even though paying for additional content isn't required and there is already a ton of additional content being released for free.

When I see people posting complaints about items as ridiculous as these - I just figure that they're expecting smartass responses.

 

I've played all sorts of pc racing sims and to be truthful nothing comes remotely close to forza 5, the drivatar system makes possible some very close racing, it really is a great game and some people might not mind paying for the DLC to support Turn 10.

I really do like the game and the DLC does temp me but I'm going to wait for a sale (if there is one) because I thinks its price is too high atm.

 

I also make sure that a game is 100% installed before I play it.

 

Yeah I waited till it was 100% My buddy said he started playing NBA2k14 when it said "ready" but was still downloading. His game froze up his console and what not.

 

NBA 2K14 was the first game I got with my Xbox One and was tempted to play early as it took an age to install (44GB I think), but I could only play the quick match mode which I wasn't interested in so I waited it out. Having the game freeze up with issues
is definitely not worth it.

 

Sorry, guys. I was grumpy as hell that day. My bad. You can always tell when I've been researching too much on politics. I get really grouchy. My wife will even tell me to stay off the news sites. :-(

 

Also, I've known GRAW since Socom 1 on the PS2.

 

I made Socom 1 Ratsnest on Far Cry 3. You ever check it out Harry? Its about 90% accurate. Been a while since I played Far Cry 3. Might go back and fix a few rough spots in Rats nest and republish it. I never finished Blizzard or Abandoned yet. But
still have them saved. Might get back into making maps. I was using night time rain and white sand for Blizzard.

 

I agree completly with trexnoah, there are far too many Dlc cars which are far too easy to win with, even online. I will not buy Dlc on principal, it is too easy and not challenging, my *** cat could win with Dlc. Dlc packs are regularily released and the
game still does not work properly because there is no money in updates. Cheevos dont pop, game blacks out while your driving, sudden shut down, etc. Turn 10's extreme greed bring me to the decision that I will never buy another Turn 10 product.

The last time I checked the leaderboards the majority of top times are being set by people using non-DLC cars.

Turn10 has been releasing pretty regular updates for this game. While there are still things that many feel should be fixed - there is also a lot of things that have been fixed. I don't see these boards filling up with the complaints you stating above. And,
personally, I don't have problems with achievements not popping, or sudden shutdowns or the game blacking out. I do see others mention these things but the infrequency of general lack of traction these threads gain leads me to believe that it's much more likely
a problem with the console, with the way the game was installed, or some other user-specific issue (not a game bug) that's causing these intermittent issues.

It's funny the way some people equate a "free marketplace" with "greed". DLC takes time and resources to produce. Turn10 as the producer then sets the price for that content. Capitalism does not equal greed. Do you work for free? If not - then aren't you
being greedy too?
