DLC content is extreme extremely unfair!

Hi,

I want all of you gamers to read this and understand, so we can fix this problem. The problem I am talking about is unfairness of DLC content. Remember back to the day you got your Xbox One and FM5, the whole package would be over $500. Then
when you are set up, you go to the car collection and notice "There aren't as many cars as there were in the last game." Then, three months later, you understand why- DLC. You notice the extremely fast Bugatti Veyron is DLC. You notice the LaFerrari is DLC.
You even notice that only two or three Alfas are not DLC. Doesn't seem fair at all, does it- you pay over $500 to find that your beloved LaFerrari is DLC, costing $10! We need to speak up about the unfairness of this DLC fellow gamers. We need to speak
now.

What's the hardest game you've ever played?

It would either have to be Super Meat Boy or Dark Souls. Each of the two are extremely difficult games, although they both achieved this level of difficulty in a fair manner. If you fail in either of those games, it was because of your own error, and not some unfair mechanic.

 

Trials Fusion

Fair play mate. I've been the same since Trials HD, once i beat the Extremes i'm content, can't be arsed with times though as I dont find them enjoyable, satisfying when beaten yes, enjoyable no. The extremes are more about beating particular nightmare obstacles whereas i like the hards as they have enough tough aspects but it's more about stringing sections fluidly together and the times come as a result.

 

Have you seen how much FREE content has been released for FM5?

 

Have you compared that to the amount of paid content?

 

Yes - I have.

Road America, Long Beach and now Nurburgring all with 5-car booster packs that were delivered for free. It seems pretty fair to me.

 

Think of the three tracks they gave us as a Map Pack. That right there is worth at least $15 to $20 just for the tracks. If you bought the season pass, then you are already getting at least 3 car packs free. Season Pass was $50. So that is a savings
of at least $30 right there because they are releasing more and not holding season pass holders additional money.

 

I kinda feel the same way the OP does. I wanted the other cars but hate to pay the extra cash for them based on the principal of it. Well, this week I noticed the FM5 car pass was on sale for $33.50 through the "Games with Gold" program so, I broke down
and bought it. I bought FM5 for less than $30 through gamefly.com anyway.

 

My issue with Forza is that the DLC only works on one profile and NOT per xbox. So I pay out £60 ($100) on the VIP and Car Passes only to find they don't apply to any other profile on my xbox one.

I am never going to pay another £180 for the other three profiles on my xbox. It's things like this that put me off buying any DLC.

 

I have always had the theory that the DLC cars were better than the default cars. This wold spur even MORE sales! We can vote with our checkbook, or get what we want and pay for it and *** about it the whole time. Life sux, in video games or for real.
Things don't always go our way. I've given up myself.

I just stick my head in the XBOX and hope to die quietly from a massive coronary in the next few years.

There's nothing fair or unfair about it. Turn 10 is a business...a business that exists to make a profit. They do that by selling goods to the consumer. If you, as a consumer, like what they have to offer, you buy it. If you don't feel it's good value
for your money, then you can just as easily *not* buy it, and go on about the rest of your day.

 

I myself have no interest in extra cars (although they are nice) or tracks as I am satisfied with the selection I have now.

Obviously the Season Pass/Car Pass/whatever in the long run is cheaper, but I couldn't help but sigh at the price they are charging for the packs and an even bigger sigh at the price for one car in the pack if you don't want the whole car pack.

 

I'm not sure if it's still active - but the season pass for FM5 was on sale recently. Might be worth checking out at a discount if you're interested in even some of the DLC cars.

 

Yeah. I bought it for the discounted rate of $33.50. Truth is, I'm a cheap ***. lol

 

Forza 5 was a free bundle with my $399 XBOX1. The 39GB download was kinda lame. Took like 4-5 hours to complete.
