DLC bought under one account is accessible to other account on the same Xbox.

Hi Folks,

My two kids have their personal accounts on Xbox1 and both use the same console. I was wondering if my one child buys a DLC (All pack $33.99) on Xenoverse2, will that pack be accessible to my other child as they both log in using their own credentials. I
have a parent account.

I am a bit of a noob in this area, so please ask me if I am not making any sense,

any DLC you buy on a console would be accessible to any other account as long as they are all on the same console that bought and downloaded it originally, only avatar based add ons are locked to the tag that bought downloaded it.

DLC is tied to the account it is bought on but also the console the licenses are bought on. So you could, in theory, play DLC on other accounts on the same Xbox. This could have some problems since you have multiple Xbox, but you can at least share
content on one of them.

It basically depends on the DLC, In general DLC will be shared via the Home console setting like games are, but there are exceptions that won't be shareable via the Home console setting.

As far as I know there is no list with those exceptions.

However you will be able to access DLC bought with one account on the other accounts, on the same console of course.

All content bought with the main account (yours, since it's your home xbox) will work for every user on the same console. The content that your kids bought under their account will only work if they are logged into these accounts. For example, one of your
kids bought Minecraft with his account that isn't the home xbox, so in order to access the game he must be logged in but any other account won't be able to play it.

So every content bought under accounts that aren't the main account on that xbox can't access it.

It really is that simple, this I know because I am in the same situation. I've purchased DLC for the game on two separate accounts and while the Extras menu on one account doesn't show the DLC which was bought on the other as purchased, it is still able
to access it.

yeah it's console based but you still need the original account that has already bought the dlc in the same xbox in order to access to the dlc on other account. That happen to me on the Left 4 Dead 2 and Minecraft DLCs but i don't know is this happens to
Battlefield 3 DLCs. Also the Usage Restrictions says that ''Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console'' and also says '' you''ll need to sign in Xbox Live with your Xbox Live account on that console before accessing the item''.
The same Usage Restrictions description to the other DLCs so is this happens to Battlefield 3?
