Discus and support DLC additional maps seems to be blocking multiplayer games in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have an Xbox 360 and I have been able to quickly get a multiplayer game at any time of the day.     DLC additional maps seems to be blocking multiplayer games


    I have an Xbox 360 and I have been able to quickly get a multiplayer game at any time of the day. I recently downloaded two DLCs with additional maps and then was stuck in the lobby for 30 min without joining a game. I deleted the DLCs and was able to
    get a game again right away. I downloaded the DLCs again and the waiting happened again. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I have a router with spectrum and Google wifi. Thanks.

    The DLC is listed as being the following size:

    Firebrand - new multiplayer mode airplane. 66 blocks

    Fury - new multiplayer mode airplane. 59 blocks

    Hellhound - new multiplayer mode airplane. 70 blocks

    Vampire - new multiplayer mode airplane. 61 blocks

    Badlands - new multiplayer map. 1567 blocks

    Caverns - new multiplayer map. 1545 blocks

    Lost Plateau - new multiplayer map. 1520 blocks

    New Game Types: Chicken Pox & Gun Heist - 2 new multiplayer game types. 4 blocks.



    Blocks are 16KB, far as I can tell as an 8MB XBOX MU is 500 blocks or so.



    The installer for all the above DLC is 38MB. The unpacked size is 78MB.
    Because, the DLC unpacked is over 1GB...
    Doubtful given the size of the original XBOX HDD, though I believe I have it all downloaded and can check the number of blocks it
    takes up both on the 360 and on an original XBOX.
    As I said; It's a host file, you download....
    With rare exception, DLC was not stored "on disc" back in the day. That's a fairly new development.

    I agree with you guys, three seems to be about right when it comes to DLC for Call of Duty games. I hope they improve the multiplayer maps some more if they do release a 3rd map pack. The only reason I downloaded the first two map packs were because of the

    i just bought the dlc pack for cod ww2 but can't seem to find the new maps, anyone know how to open them so i can play them in multiplayer. I can't find the maps other then the ones that came with the game

    Thought about future DLC

    DLC wise in general, apparently on April 2nd there will be a free dlc map pack containing 2 maps for multiplayer and the game mode Execution, the latter not an interest to me....but the map pack is a Yes :)

    Fortunately the DLC was not purchased. In addition to your reply, here's the direct link to the DLC in the Marketplace. It isn't noted in the description that online co-op and online multiplayer are no longer available.
