Distorted picture

When I powered on my xbox one this evening the picture is distorted. The xbox was fine this morning. I have changed the HDMI cable for three others (from 360, DVD and a spare) and the issue remains. I have also changed for different ports on the TV. The
cable is fine as it works in the other devices. I have cleared persistant storage and rebooted several times. Nothing wrong with the TV.

Is there anything else I can try or is the xbox in need of repair or the bin.

why does Microsoft jig saw freeze up I was doing a master puzzle ad would have to do a restart the screen goes black when ever you try to place pictures also the sound is distorted

Can you explain the distortion or show a picture of what you're seeing and what the settings are set to?

Hey there xXAut0psyXx!

I'm sorry to say that I'm having a little trouble seeing what you're talking about here. I see a bit of distortion in the first picture but it just looks like the normal distortion that comes from taking a picture of a screen. Can you tell us where these black
lines are that you're seeing?

Have tried reinstalling the blu ray app - no luck.

Will try a hard reset next - what exactly will I lose on the console by doing a hard reset??

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

You might also try uninstalling/reinstalling the app.
