    Distorted HDMI output

    Hi,

About a week ago i went on holliday, when i came back and powerd up my xbox the screen is all distorted.

    (green or white dots everyware)

I have tried everything that google came up with but with no results.

My Xbox is connected to my 50 inch panasonic plasma tv with a hdmi cable.

first i thought the cable was faulty so i bought a brand new cable.

    still the same problem.

But now for the weird part

i connect the same xbox with the same hdmi cable to our seccond television (SONY LCD) it works fine.

also i connected my laptop to my television (the panasonic) with the same cable and using the same hdmi port on the televison to verify there is nothing wrong with the television, this also works fine.

This problem is so fustrating. and i cant send my console in for repairs since its long out of warranty.

    Anybody any ideas?

Ps i have the Old Black XBOX 360 Elite.

    :)

    HDMI splitter on XB1

    do what I did

I put the HDMI switch after my A/V receiver

so HDMI from XB1 to input of A/V receiver. Output of A/V receiver to input of HDMI switch. 1st output of HDMI switch to TV, 2nd output of HDMI switch to projector. gives full audio and now you have options for either TV or projector for everything that is connected to your A/V receiver

xbox one optical audio DTS setting sounds distorted

I have connected my Panasonic TV through hdmi cable and my JVC RX-8000V Audio/Video receiver is connected through the audio cable. I am using the same input that I had a dvd connected to; the dvd player worked fine. When I select Uncompressed Stereo for
the optical output, all sounds fine. When I select DTS Digital Surround the sound is distorted.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Try disabling Display Discovery under Console Settings--->Display.

You can also try resetting console's video display to defaults by turning it off and then holding the left quadrant of the power button to turn it on...

    Hope this helps...
